Flight Back to Philippines

Image
This time we woke up too early at 05:00am to dodge the traffic and not to be late for our flight at 10:40am. We have our tremendous experience before in Singapore where we missed our flight and we paid twice as much the price of the plane ticket. I was broke at that time :( So we don't want to experience that too in Hong Kong....hehehe! I've learned from the mistakes :) We rented a car also offered in the hotel where we stayed. It costs us 350 HK$, good for four persons. It's far way better and cheaper than using the MTR Express which will cost you 100 HK$ up to the airport. The Bus No. A21 bound to Hong Kong airport also passes by in front of the hotel, for only 33 HK$. If you're not carrying lots of baggage then taking a bus to the airport would be the best choice. We came early to the airport that day to check-in our luggage, before grabbing some light snacks to feed our tummies. It was approximately four hours flight from Hong Kong to Philippines so I tried to sle...

The Ultimate Peak Experience

Image
The weather wasn't great at this time. It was raining in Tung Chung when we left. We beat the rain to the MTR station and thanks to God we've reached the place before it eventually caught up to us. Anyway, later we decided to go to the Peak Tram which was pretty interesting. By then the rain had stopped and it was really nice though not sunny at all. On our way heading to The Peak Tram Station located at Central's Garden Road St. Joseph Building, we walked pass these two iconic buildings namely the Bank of China Tower and the Cheung Kong Center , incredibly stunning! At last, we've reached the Peak Tram station by just merely walking. It's just a short distance from the MTR station but quiet tiring for our legs since it's a highland I was like climbing on a mountain, huh! While waiting for our turn to ride the tram, I took a couple of pictures around the vicinity. Tourists waiting for the Peak tram The Peak Tram Historical Gallery The Fonicular Ra...

Foggy Days in Ngong Ping

Image
Today I was supposed to meet my travbuddy friend named Stephanie from USA and also to introduce her to my family. Unfortunately, due to inefficient communication signals, she received my email late. In short, we went on our separate ways. She spent the day in the Peak Tram and continued to Ngong Ping in the afternoon. While, we do the opposite of it :D We went to Ngong Ping first then Peak Tram at night. It went so funny but I know we'll meet some other times my friend....... Due to the proximity of our hotel to ferry terminal, we took the ferry going to Central via Ferry 7 and transferred to Ferry 6 going to Mui Wo on Lantau Island instead of taking the MTR Express. We prefer thrilling and unusual rides....yay! From the Mui Wo, we took the bus No. 2 bound to Ngong Ping. It was a zigzag road going up to the mountain where the Tian Tan Buddha Statue is. Quiet feel dizzy but it's a fun ride! A must try I think. It's all foggy up there when we arrived on the place. We can...

Hotel Lisboa Stopover

It's been a month ago before I have shared to you this - my travel experiences in Macau last 29th of June with my family. Sorry about that guys. I've been pretty busy preparing my students for their upcoming Cambridge examination in Chemistry this October/November. I was assigned to trained them well for their Paper 1, 3 and 5 skills area. Lots of my surprise, all of them were taking my subject and had dropped other subjects like Biology. Well, pretty impressive but hope to God to bless all our hard works and preparations for this examination and get more A* compared to last year...:) Time for break....So thankful for this 12 - day refreshing break. I've got ample time to unload myself for all the paper works, to unwind and also to update my blogs :) As I go along, I'll share with you all the free rides we had experienced in Macau. Try it on your next visit in Macau....it's fun! ************************************************************************************ ...

Avenue of Stars: Hollywood of the East

Image
Instead of waking up at 6:00am as we've planned before, waking up at 10:00am is the most favorable one for our tired body hehehe our itinerary was messed up! Today we walked down to Victoria Harbour, only 5 minutes from our hotel! And we walked down the Avenue of Stars, a kind of a Hollywood type boardwalk where a ton of Hong Kong stars make hand imprints in the cement next to their names. Look at the picture below, can you guess the name of the superstar in the picture? :D Celebrity Handprints Not only the handprints but also a statue. I got a couple of pictures next to it. View of Victoria Harbour and its Hollywood Statues Movie Memorabilia A number of other attractions exist including the Museum of Art, Cultural Centre, Space Museum, Clock Tower and Bruce Lee statue near the Salisbury Garden. Too bad our time for sightseeing was limited due to the fact that we woke up late. :( Catching a quick glimpse of the place then we flew into Sheung W...

Magical Journey at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort

Image
Finally reached the main entrance to Disneyland Resort! so excited! Dreams come true maybe for most of the visitors in Disney including me. Since childhood I just watched Mickey and Minnie and other Disney characters in television but at this time as if I have escaped from the real world and make my dreams come true. Can't resist to touch Mickey for the first time...hehehe :D The views are totally amazing and made us take more than a 100 pictures... While we are busy taking pictures, my mom found herself sitting pretty on one of the bench nearby the entrance. She's so tired I guess, after our long journey from Tsim Sha Tsui to Central. But despite of that, excitement and joy was clearly obvious on her face. Near to the main entrance was the big whale fountain with Mickey surfing above it. The main gate where you can buy your Disney ticket. It was not high season when we went there but the crowds is inevitable sometimes. We're blessed because we ...
