Hotel Lisboa Stopover

It's been a month ago before I have shared to you this - my travel experiences in Macau last 29th of June with my family. Sorry about that guys. I've been pretty busy preparing my students for their upcoming Cambridge examination in Chemistry this October/November. I was assigned to trained them well for their Paper 1, 3 and 5 skills area. Lots of my surprise, all of them were taking my subject and had dropped other subjects like Biology. Well, pretty impressive but hope to God to bless all our hard works and preparations for this examination and get more A* compared to last year...:)

Time for break....So thankful for this 12 - day refreshing break. I've got ample time to unload myself for all the paper works, to unwind and also to update my blogs :) As I go along, I'll share with you all the free rides we had experienced in Macau. Try it on your next visit in Macau....it's fun!

From the Sheung Wan station, we went straight to Shun Tak Center to buy our Turbojet ticket. The ferry ride was an hour long and it was really comfortable despite of the big flashes of water waves along the way. The ferry station was a kind of similar to an airport. We had to go through immigration and customs, getting more stamps on my passport! :)

And as soon as we get out of the station, crowds of people welcomed us like a celebrity asking for a guided tour. But instead, we decided to follow the tips I've read from a budget travel book, by using the free shuttle buses. Most of the standard hotels in Macau(four - starred or above) and gaming venues have free shuttle buses waiting at the bus terminus outside the ferry terminal. Hotel Lisboa and Venetian Hotel are some of the hotels with free shuttle services to named of which is a good choice to offer you a ride, at least to the nearest stop to your destination. A public bus ride on all routes within the city is also another option which will costs you 3.20 MOP (patacas - Macau's currency) per journey. Buses only accepts exact amount of coins. Hong Kong coins is also accepted but sad to say we don't have enough coins yet on that time. So after grabbing some vicinity maps of the area, we find our way out to the station and hopped on to the green shuttle bus sponsored by Hotel Lisboa bound to Senado Square. The free shuttle bus is available on a daily basis from 08:30a.m. - 10:30p.m. From the ferry station, we dropped off to the hotel basement and passed by to their 3 - floor casinos.
Here, let me share a couple of pictures I took around the area of the hotel.

Were all amazed of its beauty and elegant decorations especially in their lobby area.
