AROUND THE WORLD IN A DAY - SHENZHEN

Image
The Glass Pyramid of Paris Louvre Museum rise in the distance. Our visit to the Window of the World was time - limited as we are only given an hour to explore this 48 hectare theme park....! But it was a great experience, though. The entire park is divided into 8 major parts: Square of the World, International Street, Region of Asia, Europe Region, African Region, American Region, Oceana Region and the Garden of World Sculptures. We marvelled at incredibly 10 percent only of its 130 miniatures of world's famous landmarks squeezed in one place here in Guangdong Shenzhen, China. C'mon, join us to explore the world. Hurry! Time is ticking. It's December chill clouding the whole park and so a giant red Christmas tree visibly stand around the corner. A Splendid Chinese Gate. The Gate of Temple of Horus. Enjoyed the picturesque scenery of classic Myanmar Temple and the Angkor Wat of Cambodia. Didn't missed the shining Taj Mahal. Mt. Fuji Carried us ba

Instant Happiness

Hi there and Happy Weekend!!! This week flew by, been busy at school preparing for open house, science exhibits, ICAS, school's midtest...not to mentioned tutorials and other stuff. But despite of my busy schedules, I always remind myself to take some time out of the day, and do what makes my soul happy. Having a chit-chat with my lovely daughter makes it all go away in an instant. She's my instant stress reliever. Hehehe. Anyway, here's the pictures of our rapidly growing and ever so beautiful daughter, Chelsea, and her different antics. These make me and Dexter happy every time we look at them. Enjoy the pics. :D Thanks for stopping by, and hope you're having a great weekend and may the greatness continues for all of today right into next week. ;) xoxo

A Tune A Week ;)

Realizing it's the month of September already causes me to pause and acknowledge that time really does fly. So I have decided to try and post my violin practices every week here :D This idea has grown, in part, from tutoring violin for a year with my very enthusiastic teacher, Ms Kuntari. Her enthusiasm in music was so infectious actually that cause me to learned more and express myself through the music. This is one of the violin exercises that makes use of eight note, "Buckeye Salute". Hopefully it go well. Please listen, learn, share and enjoy! xoxo Yep! I have made some mistakes hehehe but more willing to embrace challenges and do more practice to improve it. I think I need more practice drawing a straight bow infront of a mirror (loves the mirror so much!!! hahaha) a bit before each practice session until it gets better. #fighting "Buckeye Salute" along with a backing track.

One Saturday in Cirebon

Sipping on a cup of coffee N'yumba Lungo of Nescafe Dolce Gusto as I'm writing this post in my apartment. One word - It's MASARAP! Intense flavours and with a citrus kick at the end. Not a coffee lover but it's the only coffee drink I enjoy the most so far. Here comes the full - day guided Cirebon tour which I had been yearning for :D to unwind and had a taste of their local foods =p. First stop of our tour was in Keraton Kasepuhan located in the sub - district of Lemahwungkuk, Cirebon City. it was a great experience to be able to visit the facilities once utilized by the royal family in Cirebon, despite the blazing hot sun that cost us so much sweat and strength. Keraton Kasepuhan Entrance right behind me Hindu - styled split gate named Gapura Adi. Looks like I'm in Bali :D Pakungwati Palace, named after the daughter of Prince Cakrabuwana (the sultanate first ruler) built in 1446. Kereta Kencana Singa Barong. Yummy Eats in Padang Merdeka

Weeeeeeeeeeee, first post in 2017!!!! Hahaha I'm glad that you're glad to see me making appearance in my long abandoned blog once again. :p How's life? Mine's occupied with new schedule of tutorials and starts preparing for the new academic year at school. I'm back from holiday, back to reality. What I love the most every time I return to Indonesia was their exotic, spicy foods...so delish!!! I'm not a fan of spicy foods but staying here for how many years, my taste buds get accustomed into it. It grows my tolerance bite by bite. Talking about food, we ended up dining in one of the restaurant in the heart of Jakarta's Old Town, Padang Merdeka for late lunch. As we made our way into the restaurant, there was this friendly wait staff standing by at the counter, ready to allocate table for us in its warm and cozy dining area. The name of the restaurant speaks for itself. It showcase a unique dining atmosphere celebrating the Indonesian spirit. Mural Pai

Up on Penang Hill

Image
We woke up super early in the morning, 6 a.m. to be precise to enjoy a morning dip in the pool and to get ourselves ready before heading to Penang Hill. Waking up to a view like this.....priceless! So sunny that my eyes nearly blinded by the sunlight @.@ Earlier that day, we departed at around seven thirty in the morning to catch the fonicular railway to the top of Penang Hill as there'll be an expected massive tourists on the site. Tips: Make sure you go early during public holiday and weekend to avoid long queues. Yay! Got the fast lane ticket =) A group shot before we hop on the train. Train ride up the steep slope was fun. Everyone were freaking out throughout the entire ride up the hill, so steep and scary since we were seated on the front row of the train. But we did survive somehow =p The journey took around 5 to 10 minutes which is way shorter than the time we spent waiting for the train. Penang Hill is also known as Bukit Bendera in Malay which is located in A
