Teachers Escapade: Day 2 - Pulau Putri

Date of Exploration: 06-08 January 2015

After setting our tummies in Pulau Perak just after the snorkeling, we continued sailing towards the nearby island, Pulau Putri or commonly known as Princess Island.
Pulau Putri

Check out the abundance of fish swarming and blanketing the shallow bay of the island. At a first glance, I thought it was a pile of garbage but I was wrong. You can count the fish swimming in it. Lol!

Just so you know, Pulau Putri has its underwater aquarium which gives its visitors with an incredible close - encounter experiences of different varieties of fish and corals.

Wait a minute, did we just spot a huge monitor lizard lazing on the side of the shore? Creepy! >.<

The island tour guide said that it was a regular inhabitants and was domesticated on the island so no need to worry about it as they rarely attack humans. Huh! But still give me goosebumps. I keep on looking at carefully on the path while walking so to prevent from stepping on them unwittingly.
My coteacher, having a great time with the monitor lizard

After a 20-minute guided island walk, the teachers can't wait to splash in again into the water.....this time...in a swimming pool (to rinse off maybe the sticky, salty effect after snorkeling XD)
Pulau Putri comes with a sizeable pool....
I could barely smile with my sun-tanned skin :(

Ok time to go back now to Harapan island. It was just in time for the sunset giving us the good view to catch the last glimpse of the day's light.
Sunset in Pulau Putri. We had an amazing time admiring the sun set.

The beautiful evening sky with orange and blue.

Finally, arrived to Pulau Harapan.
