TRAVELOGUE: Hundred Islands Weekend Escapes
It couldn't have been timelier for Dexter and I because we both were going through a rough period (not with our marriage not to worry about) and needed some form of respite from the rat race and stress in life. And so we decided to make Hundred Islands this year's summer destination.
I made some research and browse some facebook updates and photos of my friends who happened to stayed on this National Park located in Barangay Lucap, Alaminos Pangasinan. Their photos are pretty damn awesome and makes me drooling seriously. It's been fifteen years since I'd been here...so I don't know exactly how does it look like now :D We hit the road all the way from Bayambang, Pangasinan with our pals. It's been a fun ride at three o' clock in the morning just using our Honda motorcycle. Good thing no cops on the way. :D
Well, here's a photo diary of our stay, hope you'll enjoy it.....
Our day tour service boat.
We booked for a day tour service boat good for 5 pax worth PHP 1,400 which bring us to the different islands with island hopping and snorkeling.
The view from the top of the hill of Governor's Island. So, so many gorgeous islands around :)
Actually, for your info, Hundred Islands consists of 123 islands or 124 islands on low tide. Only three of them have been well developed for tourism: Gobernor's Island, Quezon Island and Children's Island. The others are still housed with some wildlife animals like dugong, snakes etc. An environmental monitoring program and protection of this biodiversity was well governed by the local government of Alaminos.
Quezon Island
And after the island hopping in Quezon, we head off for snorkeling trip.
Children's Island
We cycled barefoot everywhere around the island to give us this rather village-kinda-vibe. Wow, what a great feeling!
And a quick trip to Cuenco Island before we head off!
Well, that's all I have! So thankful for the good weather we had during our visit. Till the next, have a great weekend ;)
