Avenue of Stars: Hollywood of the East

Image
Instead of waking up at 6:00am as we've planned before, waking up at 10:00am is the most favorable one for our tired body hehehe our itinerary was messed up! Today we walked down to Victoria Harbour, only 5 minutes from our hotel! And we walked down the Avenue of Stars, a kind of a Hollywood type boardwalk where a ton of Hong Kong stars make hand imprints in the cement next to their names. Look at the picture below, can you guess the name of the superstar in the picture? :D Celebrity Handprints Not only the handprints but also a statue. I got a couple of pictures next to it. View of Victoria Harbour and its Hollywood Statues Movie Memorabilia A number of other attractions exist including the Museum of Art, Cultural Centre, Space Museum, Clock Tower and Bruce Lee statue near the Salisbury Garden. Too bad our time for sightseeing was limited due to the fact that we woke up late. :( Catching a quick glimpse of the place then we flew into Sheung W

Magical Journey at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort

Finally reached the main entrance to Disneyland Resort! so excited! Dreams come true maybe for most of the visitors in Disney including me. Since childhood I just watched Mickey and Minnie and other Disney characters in television but at this time as if I have escaped from the real world and make my dreams come true. Can't resist to touch Mickey for the first time...hehehe :D The views are totally amazing and made us take more than a 100 pictures... While we are busy taking pictures, my mom found herself sitting pretty on one of the bench nearby the entrance. She's so tired I guess, after our long journey from Tsim Sha Tsui to Central. But despite of that, excitement and joy was clearly obvious on her face. Near to the main entrance was the big whale fountain with Mickey surfing above it. The main gate where you can buy your Disney ticket. It was not high season when we went there but the crowds is inevitable sometimes. We're blessed because we

Heading to Disney

As per request of my mother, our first stop was at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. Many people prefer to visit Disney on December where it is cold and have many colorful christmas decors unlike on June - July where scattered rain showers are expected. But despite of that, flood of visitors still spend time going to Disney including us. From our hotel, we took a short walk going to the Star Ferry 6 terminal bound to Central Station. Though the MTR station is just next door from our hotel but we prefer to try their ferry and see the scenery along the way because what you gain in speed through the MTR Express, you lose in views. Here's a quick glimpse of interesting views on the way to Star Ferry Terminal. The Clock Tower Museum of Art Space Museum Star Ferry Terminal 6 Location Map available on the site. We've seated at the upper deck to catch clearly the views. Below are some of the photos taken from my camera. It was a smooth 20 minute rid

Leaving for Hong Kong

It's been so long that I haven't updated my blogs after a long holiday in Philippines, Hong Kong and Macau. But I'm gonna catch up with that...bringing you to my Magical Journey full of excitements and fun that was never been washed away despite of the rainy days. Thanks to Ms. Claudia Kaunang, through her magical budget travel books, and to Ms. Suyanti Ester for her valuable travel tips I with my family were able to go around Hong Kong and Macau with less expense and easy - to - follow directions. ************************************************************************************* We basically booked for a promo fares of Cebu Pacific Air bound to Hong Kong last 27 of June 2011. The supposed flight was at 19:10 but it was moved to 19:20 because of bad weather condition. I'm one of the passengers who keep on praying that our flight won't be cancelled and thanks to God, around 19:25, it was announced that we could start boarding to our plane. Two hours later, we land
