A Day Trip to Monumen Nasional

Image
It was a Black Saturday morning when we decided to visit the Indonesian National Monument or commonly known as MONAS. It is a bit weird and so funny to think that most of the people around the world are busy at that time for their visita Iglesia but we found ourselves queeing for this historical place in Indonesia. Hmmmmm.....another style of celebrating the Easter! As far as my opinion is concerned, celebrating the Easter is not just by merely visiting churches but by living it everyday in our life. Well, that is my opinion....Peace! And so we took the Transjakarta Busway with Blok M to Kota Tua route, which only costs us Rp.3,500 (less than 1 USD). Very cheap! What a drizzling day when we arrived to the place but it does not stop us to pursue our trip up to its top yard. Monumen Nasional: Jakarta City Most of the people near this place, usually utilize Monas area as a place for sport activities and other recreations. Monas is really a big place ranging to almost 80 hectares if

Dunia Fantasi: Chill Out!

Two days before our long awaited FCE Examination, me and my friends has decided to visit Dunia Fantasi (Dufan) last Saturday 02 April to relax and have fun.  We bought the ticket in a lower price since one of my friend's relatives work there and it gives us less hassle to buy the ticket. So excited for the trip, we arrived at the Dunia Fantasi around 9:15am. Without knowing the change of schedule, Dunia Fantasi will opens at 11:00 instead of 10:00. There is a "Rombongan" on that day, a group tripping from Garuda Indonesia Airlines. At that time we already feel hesitant to get inside due to that Rombongan Day. I felt that it's wrong timing to visit Dufan. I could imagine how crowded and how long the queue for each rides and shows. But we still go and chill out! Dunia Fantasi or otherwise known as Dufan in short is a fantasy world in Ancol Dreamland, Jakarta. It is a home of almost 23 rides and other special shows. They said that this is much better than what we have in

A Drive - Thru Taman Safari

Image
We often see a zoo where animals are put behind the bars or the "open concept" kind of zoo in Singapore where the animals are enclosed in their natural settings. But my experienced in Taman Safari I Indonesia yesterday was totally unique where "we" are the one in the cage instead of the wild animals. The cage I'm referring to was our car which we use to go around. It is a drive - thru safari style zoo. Animals are set free and wandering around the car and on the streets. We bought 3 bundles of carrots along the road for only 20,000 rupiahs to feed them. Thanks to the woman selling it, she gave us big discounts for it. All carrots we bought are still fresh. It is pretty neat to feed the animals from our car window. We are asked to close our car windows when we enter the Wildlife Zone. We saw lots of African lion, Bengal tiger, cheetah and others. Some of my male friends at the back of the car are very naughty. They keep on opening the window despite of the park
