The Singapore Bandstand

Apart from all the stunning views that we all have seen recently from my previous posts, the Bandstand is what I like the most aside from the Orchid Garden.

The present octagonal structure of this was built in 1930 and staged early evening performances by military bands for many years. Though no longer used for music, but it was still one of the best known features in the Garden.

It was surrounded by long winding road of ground orchids...known as Vanda Miss Joaquim, the National Flower of Singapore.

Carefully designed around precious historic trees...

Green landscaped ideal for some family bonding and fellowship activities....

A great place for inexpensive yet romantic dating. :) Better pack your picnic baskets before going here. Though there were some restaurants or some outlet selling food in the area but it's quiet far and of course expensive. Just make sure to clear your rubbish before leaving.

Just by a distance was a small cave with its relaxing sound of the waterfalls.
