This 150 year old Garden possesses an array of botanical and horticultural attractions with a rich history and a wonderful plant collection of worldwide significance.

It is so stunning to look and beckons us to go inside.




Some animals wait for us to snap as many photos as we want, although they may still feel shy about it and tuck their heads in.

But not with this dragonflies. We tried to move in slowly and managed to take a few shots. They were very much cooperative!


 

Enjoyed a day with some flowers blooming in the garden.


Other attractions were the Bonsai Section.

 
 Just by a distance was the Cactus Area.

I even managed to sit down on this rock though it's quiet hot, just to take photo with them. :)

and the longest banana :)

Hi guys, how you doin' this past few days? Exploring the Green Country of Singapore

Introduction Sorry to start this entry this late. Work has been crazy, trying to finish up my work before posting this blog trip, and I am trapped inside the temptation of gaming world.....Farmville, Diner Dash, Sudoko and many others to mentioned! Thanks to my friend, Anton, who inspired me into the world of blogging..so to spend my time more useful now and more passionate. I’ve flown around here before to processed my working (B)visa last September 2009. The school where I work with sponsored my Singapore Airline's ticket and all other expenses and allowances...what a privileged one! I'm so blessed and fortunate aside from no worries on the budget but it was my first time overseas (or out of the country more like). A Drive - Thru Taman Safari

We often see a zoo where animals are put behind the bars or the "open concept" kind of zoo in Singapore where the animals are enclosed in their natural settings. But my experienced in Taman Safari I Indonesia yesterday was totally unique where "we" are the one in the cage instead of the wild animals. The cage I'm referring to was our car which we use to go around. It is a drive - thru safari style zoo. Animals are set free and wandering around the car and on the streets. We bought 3 bundles of carrots along the road for only 20,000 rupiahs to feed them. Thanks to the woman selling it, she gave us big discounts for it. All carrots we bought are still fresh. It is pretty neat to feed the animals from our car window. We are asked to close our car windows when we enter the Wildlife Zone. We saw lots of African lion, Bengal tiger, cheetah and others.
