Lost at Genting Highlands Resort

On this next posts, it narrates about my first experienced in Malaysia though at first it didn't turn out right due to some delays but in the end it was full of fun! Come and join me as I unleashed my Mystifying Malaysian's Experience :)

It was the start of the new academic year 2010 - 2011, when my school planned for an out of town 3 day - tour as a yearly treat to their "hardworking and very competitive teachers"...naks! This time is in Malaysia.
We are divided into three groups. All expatriates are assigned in the second group with a scheduled flight at 1:00pm, that was an awesome hot flight! But not as hot as this fact that we are asked to report first to school and accompany the students for their half day learning process. Isn't so pretty cool?! :D
On our way out to the airport, the traffic is so nightmarish. We're even worried that we'll reach the airport late. But glad to say we weren't but we need to wait for another hour to wait for the plane....in short it was a delayed flight. Sigh! No other options but to wander around the airport and to flamed off the waiting time.
Finally, we boarded and headed to Malaysia. Upon arrival to Malaysian's international airport, we've waited for another 15 minutes for the Skybus to arrived and bring us to the KL Sentral where the Genting bus terminal is.

But our agony never stops there...:( Lebaran or what they commonly called as Ramadan Muslim Day, was approaching at that time and so we experienced bus tickets being sold out up to the last bus trip. Three among our colleagues haven't got the ticket. Being baffled at this kind of situation, some of our friends had decided to paved the way and head to Genting using taxi instead.
Were here at last....first stop is in First World Hotel, which is listed in 2006 Guinness World Records as the world's largest hotel with a total of 6,114 rooms. We stopover here to have a free call and asked our friends of their whereabouts and for the directions going to Theme Park Hotel for our accomodations.
It's really been a tiring day but we get fascinated and calmed by the beautiful sights around the hotel.

Views in the First World Hotel

After a few minutes of relaxation and sightseeing, we headed to Theme Park Hotel. This hotel which is rated as 3 - star hotel and the first hotel ever built in Genting since 1971 formerly known as Highlands Hotel.

The hotel is in a convenient location just a short walk to the casino and just next door to the Theme Park. Instead of being disheartened with our agony on the roads we choosed to enjoy the moment we reached the place and have fun with all of the rides and views before going off to bed.

Here is a glimpse of the inside of the Theme Park.

To sum up, our first day trip to Malaysia turns out to be memorable one. Despites of all the disheartening things we experienced on the way, it didn't discouraged us but we instead enjoyed more the remaining two days in Malaysia.
